I believe your hopes are justified. I know from personal experience managing people though challenging times. When there are problems, the one with the power gets blamed for everything, the way Republicans were blamed for the economy. The public was determined to "kick the bums out". When they see the change for change sake is not working, there will be a call for another change. The Democrats have the power now to carry out their promises. They won't, because they promised too many special interests different things. They can no longer play the outsider, who is blasting the established power. The Democrats with the power will be recognized as the problem. I pray Sarah Palin does an inspired job of articulating her views. The heat will then be on the Democrats. They have been able to snipe at her a bit more, because of her office as Governor of Alaska. In the very near future, Sarah Palin will present herself as the ultimate, non-politics as usual outsider. The spirit of Ronald Reagan lives! Meanwhile, she's leaving Alaska in the capable hands of a conservative Christian, who has abundant legislative experience to help him get things done as Governor of Alaska using a quieter style. It will be good for Alaska. It will be good for the United States.

Ronald Reagan was and is a huge source of inspiration for Sarah Palin. It should come as no surprise when Sarah Palin pulls some of the same methods out of the Ronald Reagan playbook. If anything, the Republicans need a new Ronald Reagan. There needs to be a clear message. The need is now, because of the imbalance in Congress to go with a Democrat in the White House.

I'm looking forward to 2010. I think we'll see the same kind of Republican resurgence that we saw in 1994 after two years of Bill Clinton and a Democratic Congress. I hope so! I think the American people will be very disturbed by the absolute lack of check and balances in our government today. I know I am.

I have since done some research. I now believe I know what Sarah Palin is doing. It is kind of a long explanation with links to four articles, so I invite you to read my profile blog called Why Would Sarah Palin Resign Now? Please tell me if you agree or not. As for how I found you, I believe it was a post on Who's your Final Authority. I visit various message boards. By the way, my Final Authority is Jesus Christ.

Thanks. I just read it - very interesting. I think you could be right - she's the voice in the U.S. wilderness in the same tradition that Ronald Reagan was.

My final authority is Jesus Christ, too. :)
